Visit Michigan City LaPorte would like to present to you the opportunity to donate to the 2018 BIG Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Great Lakes Grand Prix Silent Auction. All proceeds from this auction will go to Michigan City Emergency Management/ Homeland Security Volunteers.
The mission of the Michigan City Emergency Management/Homeland Security Volunteers is to minimize the impact of catastrophic events on our community. When nature or man-made disaster descends upon the community, Michigan City Emergency Management/ Homeland Security Volunteers is activated to bring in the proper people to provide emergency services to the community. Michigan City Emergency Management/Homeland Security is constantly training citizens of the community to be prepared to quickly act by providing professional and proper emergency service and safety to the public. This group is invaluable at the Great Lakes Grand Prix to provide safety and security behind the scenes.
The 2017 Great Lakes Grand Prix brought over 10.7 9.6 million dollars into the local economy compared to 9.6 million in 2016. Attendees for the three-day event was around 143,000.
